Learning Overview

Halal industry is tremendously expanding not only food products but also consumer goods, cosmetics, personal care products, logistics and pharmaceuticals are now halal certified. In order to assure that the halal industry players have the same understanding and commitment towards halal and its requirements, Halal Executive Course is vital in accommodating the stakeholder's demands, particularly the industries, authorities, and even the consumers. Halal Executive programs monitored by JAKIM are suitable for Halal Certified organizations and companies that are in the process of obtaining Halal Certification from JAKIM as Halal Authority. The module covers all the halal aspects such as Quality Management Systems: Requirements from Islamic Perspective, Malaysian Standards requirements as well as Halal Assurance System. The module will assist participants, especially the Halal Committee Member/ Halal Officer to practice and maintain the implementation of halal and its requirements. Furthermore, the audit exercise is in accordance to Halal Certification Process and Malaysia Halal Standards. Halal Executive is authorized under the management responsibilities based on JAKIM Manual Procedure for Malaysia Halal Certification and in accordance with JAKIM’s Halal certification scheme.

Learning Outcome:

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the basic of halal and haram

• Understand the Malaysia’s Halal certification requirements and processes

• Understand the requirements in developing Halal Assurance System (HAS)

• Maintain the Halal Certification Management System in accordance with JAKIM’s Halal certification scheme.
